BCR Emergency Management Plan

BC Renal and health authority programs have jointly developed a Provincial Renal Emergency Management and Business Continuity Plan.

This plan is designed to address all types of hazards (natural, man-made or health emergency) that might be experienced by the network and its partners across the province.

Essential Data Elements

PROMIS contains patient information from the whole of British Columbia that supports clinical, administrative and research purposes. BC Renal led a collaborative process including program, committee, and/or medical leadership from all health authorities, to determine what data are essential to support needs in emergency planning, quality care, contract management, financials, and program and system planning.

The Essential Data Elements file outlines those essential data elements that are mandatory for completion, and “what, where, why and when”.
